Little Ted was wearing his Spider-Man suit and pretending it gave him superpowers, but can he defeat the evil Green Goblin and his explosive slime.

Little Ted was wearing his Spider-Man suit and pretending it gave him superpowers. But unfortunately he was finding it hard to shoot webs or swing from building to building.

“I don’t think I make a very good Spider-Man” Little Ted said sadly “No powers. And I’m scared of spiders!”

“Don’t worry about it, maybe your super powers are just super hidden at the moment. “replied his Mummy “What you need is someone who needs your help – are your Spidey-Senses hinting that anything is wrong in the Universe?”

Little Ted closed his eyes and tried to focus on an unknown call for help but there was nothing.

“Well in that case you can start by helping me, tidy up your toys”

Little Ted began to put his action figures back in the toy box when he came across Spider-Man’s arch enemy, the Green Goblin.

“Uh oh” Little Ted said “Green Goblin is here, I hope he’s not up to his old tricks” and he scooped him up and pretended he was having a fight with Spider-Man.

“Take that” Little Ted said as the action figures wrestled on the floor “And that. You can’t pull any of your dirty tricks with me.”

As the game progressed Little Ted pretended that the Green Goblin was in his laboratory creating a mysterious mixture. Then he remembered that his Mummy had helped him make slime before and he went into the kitchen.

“Mummy, do we still have the stuff to make slime?” Little Ted asked “Spider-Man’s enemy, the Green Goblin is making some in his lab.”

Little Ted’s Mummy gathered together the ingredients – some glue, baking soda and contact lens solution. She didn’t have any green food colouring so they decided on a bright neon pink. Then she mixed everything together until it was a sticky ball at the bottom of the bowl.

“Right over to you Little Ted. You need to knead this with your hands. Keep squeezing and reforming it into a ball until it becomes smooth.”

Little Ted squished and rolled and squeezed the slime until he was happy with the texture, and put it in a plastic bowl to carry back to his game. Then once he was happy that everything was in place and the Green Goblin was busy concocting his evil slime plans, he pretended to sneak up behind the laboratory and jumped out shouting:

“Aha Green Goblin I’ve caught you. I know all about your wicked plot to destroy the world with this explosive gel but I won’t let you. Hand it over or I’ll tie you up with my Spidey-Webs.”

The Green Goblin saw that he was in trouble and decided to make a run for it, but Spider-Man stopped him by tripping him up with cushion then wrapped him in string so he couldn’t move.

“Well done Little Ted, you’ve helped save the world and all before lunch.  I told you that your super powers were just hiding” said his Mummy as she came into the room. “What are you going to do this afternoon?”

“I think I will play some more with the slime. I just need to be careful in case its still explosive.” Little Ted said.

“Good plan Little Ted, no-one likes a slime explosion, especially not Spider-Man’s mummy!”
